Growing up, there was no Instagram, but today it's probably one of the biggest influences on young people. Facebook, MySpace and MSN were booming, but representation of my culture was very limited. Nothing on mainstream TV, music or fashion. This led me to believe that I wasn't important, or beautiful for that matter, and I had to look like the women on TV to be considered pretty. Not anymore friends, because here are my top 3 South Asian influencers making their mark on Instagram as I'm determined to make younger south Asian girls that they ARE beautiful and to EMBRACE their culture.
1. Simran Randhawa

An aspiring music artist who's religion is at the heart of everything she does, inspiring young Sikh girls globally that you can in fact be religious and slay the fashion game.
